Green Energy Smoothie

1 granny smith apple, washed and cored but with skin (organic preferred)
4-5 stalks of celery, ends and tips removed, use leaves (organic preferred)
2 cups romaine lettuce
1/2 of a large Hass avacado
1/2 bunch cilantro or parsley (depending on your preference) stems removed
3-4 cups filtered water
chop all vegetables into 1" peices for easy blending. Fill blender with 3-4 cups filtered water, more or less depending on consistency you desire. Puree till smooth.

You can also add a chopped up lime, which I really enjoy doing and also some fresh ginger root is great (for digestion and circulation)
I tend to go around the garden and add chick weed if in season, sorrel, mizuna and puha or other desirable weeds. The green in this blend is a fantastic antioxidant (in todays toxic world we need to keep flushing free radicals out by he use of antioxidants.
